1.1 - New Beginning

 

Meet Ivy Marsh. She is our brand new founder for this Random Legacy Challenge. She looks thrilled to be here. Let's take a little look at her roll and some info about her!

Gen. 1 Roll

Family Structure: Couple

# of Kids: 3

Career 1: Politics

Career 2: Alchemy

Gen. Goal & Misc. Fun: I'm terrible and forgot these, because I actually started this challenge a while ago and just now got around to documenting it so I'm gonna give myself a pass on these and assume I completed them! 

All in all it's not a bad roll at all. At least it's not single parent and 5 kids! I totally got that during one of my attempts at a Sims 4 random legacy.

Ivy is Charismatic, Friendly, a Snob, a Workaholic, and a Perfectionist. Some great traits for this future Leader of the Free World, which is her LTW. Her sign is Capricorn, and her faves are Latin music, autumn salad, and the color spiceberry. 

 

The first thing Ivy wants to do is eat a freezer bunny popsicle. I don't blame her. Also, as you can tell, I did not start her out on the largest lot with next to no funds. I will not be following the traditional legacy rules during the challenge, only the random legacy rules. Thank God. I'll save a traditional legacy for later when I want to drive myself crazy. 

 

Also, this is a fully loaded Sims 3 so Ivy has the pleasure of watching random wildlife pop up around her modest new house. Incidentally, I will definitely be making use of a bunch of Nraas mods like Overwatch, Story Progression, and Error Trap, because I don't want to lose this save. 

 

The summer festival is in town so Ivy decided to go and try and impress some future potential spouses. I don't think she's doing such a great job though. 

 

Maybe soccer is more her style. It would help if she didn't taunt the first eligible guy to show up though. 

 

I love the horses. I need to play with them more. Maybe we'll get something to do with horses in a future roll! 

 

None of these sims would make a good future spouse, but Ivy decides to eat them under the table anyway. 

 

It's Tom Shallow! And he's not totally turned off by Ivy's clumsiness and rude antics. But I'm pretty sure he's married with kids so...

 

Ivy (and I) don't care! Sorry not sorry. 

 

Ivy is such a homewrecker. 

 

After this Tom felt really compelled to break up with his wife June. It made me feel better too. Cheating is wrong even in the sims world! 

 

Tom cleans up pretty well. Ivy invited him to move in, and he did so pretty enthusiastically for someone with kids from another marriage. Oh well. 

Tom is Neurotic, Inappropriate, Neat, Evil, and a Perfectionist.

Ok, that actually explains a lot. Now I don't feel as bad about breaking him and June up. With such a winning personality, I'm sure they would've broken up eventually anyway. 

His LTW is Perfect Mind, Perfect Body, which I should've changed but never did.

He's a Cancer, and his faves are pop music, stu surprise, and the color turquoise.

 

Ivy didn't waste any time getting pregnant. She figures she might as well pop out her kids now so she can focus on her career after they're old enough to look after themselves (i.e. not in diapers anymore, lol). 

 

Tom already has two kids, Dallas and MaryKay, but that didn't mean he wasn't excited to have more. 

 

Just a trip to the fall festival while super pregnant.

 

Ivy: "Maybe this will make the baby come out faster..." 

 

I'm pretty sure I only took this picture to show off how cute I think Ivy is. I gave her freckles. Can you see them? 

 

Tom decides he wants to try this whole marriage thing out one more time. 

 

Ivy is up for it. 

 

Her facial expression is hilarious. I wonder if I will make a similar expression when I go into labor (I am, as of this blog post, 6 months pregnant!)? 

 

And the first member of generation 2 is a baby girl named Luna! 

She's ambitious and friendly, which seems very appropriate for a child of Ivy.

She's a Capricorn like her mom, and I forgot to write down her faves, because I'm bad.

That is where I'll end this first chapter. Chapters will be pretty short and sweet, the better to help me complete this legacy. I've decided I'm going to play very far ahead in terms of where the actual posts are (I already have, gen 3 kids have already been born in my game), as this I think helps me complete challenges when I don't have to worry too much about documenting things. Still, I do want to document and share this legacy so I hope you enjoy it! :)
